Charlotte Adams-Lane is the Driver of Rip & Tear and Rhubarb & Custard. Aged 7 she met Christine Dick(nee Mossman) at Sandringham Driving Trials, Christine took her for a ride to keep her out of 'trouble' and Charlotte has been addicted to driving ever since. Though she is still 'trouble'!

From an early age Charlotte used her affinity with both horses and ponies to teach her lead rein and first ridden pony- Bengad Nettle(nettle) - what driving was about. She got the cart out, put a harness on the pony, put him in the cart and off she went... Her parents went bonkers at her and then she found out that you had to 'break a pony to drive' before you put it in the vehicle!

Charlie was Singles National Champion Junior Whip in her younger years (aged 14) driving Ringstead Ruth, a delightful pony which Charlotte taught to drive, as she has continued to do with all her ponies.
